The Forster Foundation is a Central Ohio nonprofit organization dedicated to serving first responders and their families.
The job of a first responder is tough enough, but sometimes life circumstances make it even tougher. That is why The Forster Foundation is here to help. We provide emergency financial assistance to first responder families that are facing unforeseen hardships. Everything from mental health issues, financial crisis, medical conditions, physical injuries, death of a child or spouse, and on or off duty death of a first responder.

The specific purpose of the Foundation shall be:
To provide charitable relief and support to first responders, the first responder’s spouse, and the first responder’s immediate family members as a result of calamity, debilitating hardships, disasters, appalling circumstances, serious financial crisis, or other significant need as determined by resolution of the Board of Directors.
To improve public safety and community–police relations through initiatives that support public-safety employee wellness.
To increase public awareness about the negative physiological and psychological effects of a career in public safety professions and how that impacts community – police relations.
To educate the public about the importance of supporting public safety employee wellness as a way of improving public safety and community–police relations.
